Sorry about the question, I'm quite convinced that someone already discussed that topic ... but I'm unable to find it anymore.
So, my question is: how about having the open end near the driver in a TL ?
How bad is it ? Is it bad, unimportant, good (under some conditions) ?
Thanks

Per definition the line lenght after your suggestion would be near to nothing so defeats the object of having a TL in the first place.Sorry about the question, I'm quite convinced that someone already discussed that topic ... but I'm unable to find it anymore.

Have a look at Martin King´s page for extensive insight.
Here for example you see the graph and the definitions of the line lenght.

My TL Subs, have the driver in the front at the top of the enclosure, the line runs to the back then down, single turn at the bottom, up the front & exits right below the driver.
Driver/exit placement was chosen so the subs could go against the wall. No problems what so ever.
