Hi members,i am going to buy some electrolitic capacitors to a chinese manufacturer and y want to know which one of them are more recomendable for amps/preamps .
I have heard a lot of information about the better brands like ELNA-BLACK GATE-SPRAGUE-ILLINOIS and so.
But this time i dont mind the brand because in my case i am doing a cheap project.
The topic is about when you have to buy inside a brand(dont mind which one),they shows several types of electrolitic, and i want to know which type are more properly for building amps. Considering always the radial type and the desired range is 1uF-10000uF i have find the following types:

THE MAIN LINK:KLS leading supplier of electronic components

1)High ripple current= http://www.cnkls.com/pdf/KLS10-CD13N(PK).pdf
2)High frecuecy/low z= http://www.cnkls.com/pdf/KLS10-CD11H(GF).pdf
3)long life= http://www.cnkls.com/pdf/KLS10-CD11T(MT).pdf
4)high precision stability= http://www.cnkls.com/pdf/KLS10-CD117(SH).pdf
5)color tv standard= http://www.cnkls.com/pdf/KLS10-CD117(SH).pdf
6)low leakage current= http://www.cnkls.com/pdf/KLS10-CD11L(ML).pdf
7)high temp(105 C)= http://www.cnkls.com/pdf/CD81.pdf

Some body could recommend for me which would be more properly for:

-Power Source(psu)
-audio or guitar amps/preamps application(coupling, decoupling,by pass)

Best regards!

All those headings are "special" duty capacitors.

Ordinary commercial grade electrolytics are good enough for the smoothing duty after a bridge rectifier @ mains frequency.

But ordinary commercial grade capacitors MUST MEET specification.
Fakes are no good if they fail to meet the genuine specification.

AC coupling caps need to pass the wanted frequencies.
These have nearly zero AC voltage across them and thus nearly zero distortion due to them.

Filtering caps have a significant AC voltage across them and thus the possibility of distortion due to them.
For this we tend to avoid all electrolytics and many plastics and insulator/s that begin to leak with age.
Use polypropylene, or polystyrene, or NP0/C0G ceramic and possibly silvered mica.

Decoupling caps must not aggravate ringing and/or oscillation. This needs resistance to damp the high Q that can exist by adding caps with a little inductance between/around them.

Bypass caps?
