I am looking for informations concerning atvantages (benefits) and disadvantages between air (non-permeable) coil and coils with the so called permeable cores.
The only differences I know is the different output voltages and thus individual gain requirements by the choice of the RIAA head amp (phono preamp).
Thanks for more advices, especially concerning the different sonic charakter.
