A10.2 pensil modification, possible?

I was wondering if it possible to make the design maybe taller but not that deep. I would be very happy if you can shrink it to 10-12". Maybe even with slight loss of performance... Thanks!

You can only make it taller by adding "stands". Width and depth can be modified but WxD = cross-section needs to remain the same. Vent area needs to remain the same.

My idea was to decrease depth. I would like to make a footprint smaller. Dave, I know that the pencil is probably the best design of this type, but maybe you can suggest any MLTL with a smaller footprint?

You can't change the footprint of the Pensil. Brines' ML-TL has a smaller footprint and is taller.

I recommend Bob's mltl if smaller footprint is needed. Looks and sounds great had bother making the supra baffle though was not happy with it just did not look right. Have a good pattern to work from now.

There's more than one school of thought on that - i.e. lining walls and or stuffing only, glass or denim insulation vs loose fill. I found in my own Pensil builds that the amount of loose fiber stuffing recommended by the modeling was a bit excessive, and dialing back to as much as a third less was optimal for the particular system.

So I finished MLTL for my alpair (one forum member gave me to try, thanks!): they sound very nice. Very relaxing but detailed at the same time here are some pictures:
