0-280 VAC, 7.2 KVA Isolated Variable AC Power Source,
I have a 8.4 KVA VARIAC, a 7.5 KVA Isolation transformer, circuit breaker, and associated switches, that can be wired as an Isolated Variable AC Power Source with a Fully Floating 0-280 VAC, 7.2 KVA Output. It is much safer to work on electronics with a floating output without a ground reference. The isolation transformer has an extremely low leakage current rating. This can be operated from 240 VAC, 208 VAC, or even from 120 VAC with the optional paralleling choke for the VARIAC.
0-140 VAC Range: 60 Amps output up to 120 VAC and 52 Amps output at 140 VAC.
0-280 VAC Range: 30 Amps output up to 240 VAC and 26 Amps output at 280 VAC.
It would probably cost you at least $1,750 to put this package of parts together.
I'm asking $1,200 or best offer.

Technipower Type W30G2 Dual Gang VARIAC. This is the ORIGINAL VARIAC brand once owned by General Radio. Each gang is rated for 0-140 VAC, 50/60 HZ, 30A Output, 4.2 KVA, with a combined output of 8.4 KVA.
These gangs may be connected in series and operated from 240 VAC and output up to 30 Amps at 280 VAC, with a total output of 8.4 KVA
These gangs may be connected in series and operated from 208 VAC and output up to 30 Amps at 243 VAC, with a total output of 7.2 KVA.
With an optional paralleling choke, these gangs may be connected in parallel and operated from 120 VAC and output up to 60 Amps at 140 VAC, with a total output of 8.4 KVA.
This VARIAC is in barely used condition. Check the photo of the VARIAC brushes and note there is no noticeable wear. Doubtful that you could find a used one in this condition for less than $500. I've been looking online and I haven't even been able to find a used one for sale at any price. This VARIAC would cost over $2,000 new.

Ohmite Model # 412-2-T2 2-position, 2 gang, rotary switch used to connect the isolation transformer output in either series or parallel for range switching. It is rated for 50 amps at 300 VAC. Each gang of the switch would only need to handle 30 Amps maximum, so this switch is used very conservatively. This switch is New. It sells new for over $190 in small quantities, and Over $130 in quantities of 100.
