With no info on the driver, then historically, a 2 ft^3 sealed cab is the default for an 8", with 1.5 ft^3 being the absolute minimum without having to resort to very heavy damping as Chris noted.
At this relatively small size and damping, its shape can be pretty much whatever you want it to be when sealed.
