Is this normal ?

I'm wiring my SSE for basic triode operation, NO cathode feedback.
Using a multimeter I checked that all the speaker jacks are electrically
isolated from the chassis.
Based on Tubelab's wiring diagram I have ground wires going from the
common (negative) speaker jacks to the star ground on the chassis, now
these are grounded to the chassis.
Now I have the Edcor OPT's secondaries hooked up, yellow cable to
positive jack and white to negative jack.
I did another continuity check on the speaker jacks relative to the chassis
and am surprised to find that there's continuity with both the negative
and positive jacks. I was expecting this with only the negative jacks due to
their ground connection.
Is this normal ?
Are the multimeter leads completing a circuit between speaker positive
and negative ?
