Hey!

Got an TA7136AP as first stage gain in every channel.
Well, it seems this is an cool high gain chip, but i would like
something more gentle, have it in an audio mixer.

Found an adapter socket SIL-7 to 8-DIP.

I was thinking of using this to be able to change opamp according to
whom i recording with my mixer.

Would this work without any major modification in the rest of the pcb?

Thanks for the tip. The replacements will probably have alot higher gain so its
probably a good idea. Now i just gotta figure out the single replacement. The thing is.
Those old sil-7 7136 have a really nice clipping to them, they are wonderful on some instruments, like a Roland 70s synthisizer wich makes it roar in the low hz like a lion. ;) But they are dreadful on other instruments. I wonder how those old opamps would withstand de-soldering? but hey, they are only 5euro it seems.

So single opamp replacement.. Something fat, i dont want it really clear and detalied. Some single Burr-Brown FET?

Cheers
