Hi,can any suggest a suitable speaker cable to suit the leak st20.
It's been suggested to me that 2.5mm solid core mains cable, suits valve amps very well? Somebody also suggested cat5/6 cable made up in a multitude of braids also sounds good?
I don't want to spend a fortune on speaker cable and I can get the above for nothing, so if anyone has any experience of using these cables or any other suggestions, it would be most welcome to hear your views.
Thanks
Tom

I have used 2.5MM main cable. It works very well and fared very well in a HIFI magazine best buy comparison up against expensive commercial speaker cable.

I currently use heavy gauge magnet wire twisted in pairs for each polarity. Robust sound but with none of the loss of detail you sometimes get with multistranded cables.
