I have a Motorola Solid State 100 Stereo/TV Console. I can't find a model number and am having issues finding any related information on it. I'm guessing it is from 1958 through the early 60's, but not sure. I'm debating on fixing it or selling it. Right now, the only thing it does is turn on. Any assistance in what direction to take from here would be GREATLY appreciated. Squinter96@yahoo.com:wave2::wave2::wave2::wave2:

Typically charity resale shops won't accept these old consoles as donations. The record players typically have a 3-5 gram arm, often with a ceramic phono cartridge that may rip high frequencies off records. The television, in the USA, is obsolete with no signal for it being broadcast. The color ones, I remember from the sixties, were like watching TV through gauze, and my parents wouldn't buy a color TV until 1980 because of the horrible (but fashionable) picture all our rich friends had.
However, if it has sentimental value, fix it up. Read about the energy storing function of the color TV tube under the tubes and valves thread, before taking the plastic cover off the back or delving into the high voltage box. These voltages must be measured at below 25 VDC and discharged, if not, before touching any metal.
These units were covered by Howard Sams photofacts documents, which may be available for resale.
