I was passing through Home Depot this weekend and saw a 4'x8' sheet of plywood that was labeled "cabinet wood". Not sure what that is but it was cheaper then their birch ply and seemed to have more layers and no voids at about .7" or so. I am assuming they are used for cabinets but they do look pretty good for speakers too despite their yellow color. Anyone seen these or have tried them? Seems cheap enough...

I haven't seen that but I remember about 20 years ago they used to have a plywood that was solid wood pieces about 1/2" thick with a plywood laminate on the outsides. I thought that was called cabinet ply. I'll go look for it.
EDIT: I see it's called Lumber Core. Here is a brief description:

Everyone rates birch ply for cabinets but in some respects they are wrong.
e.g. if building portable PA / music cabinets you might have the choice of
3/4" birch ply or 1" cheaper ply that is half the density so weighs 1/3 less.
Stiffness is a cubic function to thickness, the bigger the joints the better.
Cheap plywood can be better than the expensive high density stuff,
the latters main advantage is its strength, but that hardly matters.

I cover my speaker boxes in thin carpet.
It gives a neat and durable finish.
It means the colour of the wood or its finish doesn't matter.

I bought a sheet of this at Home Depot a couple weeks ago. It's a good value for $30, but nowhere near comparable to a high quality piece of birch ply. Some of the plys overlap, it was not perfectly flat, and there are a few voids. The biggest issue I have with it is that the veneer level is very thin and peels easily. But, for the price it works great for my project.

I don't think that's what the OP was describing. There's nothig yellow about Arauco plywood.
Apparently Arauco is back on line. Their plywood plant burned down a couple of years ago. I used a lot of Arauco plywood when it was available and it was acceptable. Back then, it did not have a finish veneer. The face layer was the same as the core.
I think that we get overly paranoid about voids in plywood. 1/4" or so voids between the ends of plies are not going to cause any problem. Arauco, TigerPly and cabinet grade plywood have these and they are fine. Construction grade, the C-D stuff, "sand ply", etc. is another matter.
The material that the plywood is made of is much more important. The core of all of the above is one species or another of softwood -- variations on pine. Baltic birch is birch all the way through. It will be very stiff. Poplar core plywood is available. It is moderately stiff. Softwood cores, less so. Unless stated otherwise, "birch" plywood, "oak" plywood, etc. has a softwood core.

Try the arauco site. If the product at HD is not this, then it is not AraucoPly. Also, the thickness is 18mm, not 3/4".
Note: HD is a 1hr drive, Lowe's is a 30min drive and the supplier to the local cabinetmakers is 10min. Guess where I get my plywood. No, I have not seen the HD product in question, but I still have some small pieces of AraucoPly that I got before they burned down.

For me HD is 5 minutes, Lowes 10 and the supplier to cabinetmakers and woodworkers 30 minutes...I'll take the long drive every time!

The Home Depot product ID is "Arauco 32 sq. ft. Pine Cabinet Panel", so I assume this is what the OP was referring to, and it is clearly made by Arauco.
It looks like Arauco recently acquired Flakeboard and previously acquired Uniboard, so this product could be made at any number of mills. See the article about their recent acquisitions: Arauco: New King of the Wood Composite Panel Hill
I live in a rural area. HD is 10 min (also the grocery store, post office, pet store, my favorite coffee place, the bread store, Staples, Future Shop & Costco), Rona is 15 min, and Chris' is in between. I let Chris get all the ply. It gets delivered
It did take quite a few weeks to get the 15mm Murphy Ply, we had to order a lift from the factory.dave
Herein is the crux of my problem. I'd like to be able to have a skid of 12,15 and 18mm BB on hand. I can neither afford to buy or store that kind of supplies. So, I have to scrounge around to find anyone who 1) has BB and 2) willing to sell me only a half dozen sheets. Then I have to drive to Little Rock or even Memphis to pick it up. Therefore, I make due with what I can find locally,which at the moment is TigerPly.

We have built protos out of something Chris calls Meranti ply with decent results... the stuff shown at home depot looks very similar to the douglas fir (a pine species) ply we get here, but with a couple extra plys.
