i am new to this, my fosgate 250a2 wend bad, first was lack of power- like it was running on 100 watts then it got real load and i had to turn down the bass boost, then all it did is make the speaker go thug thug thug.
I removed the amp in the trunk when it was 105* outside and the amp was vary vary hot. I opened it up and everything looks good.
I have a ohm meter testing=
on 5no5hd leg 3 to 1 I get no reading on both chips.
on u1620 leg 1 and leg 3 I get vary vary low ohm's
on irf9540 and irf540 leg 1 to 2 and leg 2 to 3 I get no readings for ohm's.
there are 2 chips 1 per side of each.
so what am i looking for when i test with the ohm's meter on theses chips?
and are there any substitutes chips for 5n05hd and u1620?
