Aiwa 3CD changer system CD will not be read, no spinning

Hello!

I have read a similar topic in this forum but I decided to post a new thread regarding Aiwa 3CD System. I have a cx-nv800 which was not reading the cds.
I replaced the optical mechanism with KSM2131FAM. When I load a cd and I press the close switch cd 1 goes to the laser head, then tray changes position to cd 2, cd3 and then opens. Should I touch the potensiometer on the laser head? Or should I buy a new belt for the tray as from what I can see is very loose.
