My main interest was to play back high-resolution file on s/pdif output.
I chose the HD600B media player as 2 channel audio transport.

I confirm, the HD600 transfer correctly the stream 24/192kHz at s/pdif to drive an external DAC. :D

The problem:
when I connect my TV via HDMI, then the player downsampled at 48khz at S / PDIF out!

Is guilt of TV, player, cable or is it normal so?
What is the reason of this?

OT.
If this can be helpful for people interested to this player, I done a listening test.

The listening test setup:
Rotel RCD-02 (only transport) vs. HD600B
RME ADI-2 DAC
Diy Tube Preamp (Hiraga design)
DiY Class A power amp (all direct heat triode PT8, VT25, 211)
B & W 805S

For the test, I used the same file for HD600B at 24/96khz and burned an CD after
downsampled it at 16/44.1 kHz with Foobar.

I do not know if the test can be cosidered valid but HD600B is the winner!
The main difference is in depth and airiness of the scene, feel the size of the concert
hall. My subjective opinion obviously !

Maybe I was hasty and the test should be done with the same sampling size...I will do it.
