I picked up this sub in a thrift store the other day (just the sub no speakers/cable)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0N0T1CCP6D4K534A8V2X

I couldn't get it to work (it requires a *special* cable) but it may also have other problems, i dont know.

I considered using the driver for a project but its kind small for me (6.5" dvc each coil is about 4 ohms) very stiff suspension.

im no good at electronics but im sure someone good with a dmm and oscilliscope could have some fun with this and maybe do some reports on their findings :)
