Hi MIKET,

In fact, I have used a constant current source on a 6C45Pi tube. This is used as an output amplifying stage in common cathode configuration after a passive I/V conversion of a TDA1541 DAC. The ccs I used is Gary Pimm' s BBMCCCS.
Previously, the output stage was used with a resistor as an anode load. Changing to the ccs, the difference I heard was HUGE. What I was reading about the benefits of the ccs was in front of me. This is not an expensive (like an anode choke) or dificult upgrade and I think you should try it.
Soon, I will post in the Digital forum my experience with the TDA1541 DAC.

Regards,
Evangelos
