I have an Audiolab 8000A MK1 with blown output transistors on one channel.
Unfortunately on these first amplifiers they branded various components and removed all original markings. I have searched high and low for info/schematic for this unit to no avail I can only find a schematic for the MKII & III units. I also contacted Audiolab who said that they no longer have info for these units.
Does anyone know what the original power transistors were that were fitted to these units or have succesfully used an alternate transistor if so which ones. Also the circuit design is very different to the MKII & III so can anyone verify what the bias values for the MK1 are.
