So after extensive listening, and fiddling, I have finally settled on my circuit to control the midrange peak of this driver. I like my sound a bit softer in the highs, so I have opted for a 0.33mH, 2.7uF, 5.6 ohm solution, before crossing to a horn tweeter with just a 0.40uF cap.

The thing is, I wire these three items in parallel, and then put it in series to the driver. The sound is fine. Then I wire it in series, and put it across the speaker terminals and it sounds the same.

Is it suppose to sound different? Is one preferred over the other?

thanks!
