Hello

standard pc power supply (tl494 control) output filter inductor what is the operating max. frequency ?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

These get lossy at around 300khz to 500khz or so I would say. Is it the yellow/white material or the green/blue variety? You can likely look up a datasheet for it.

Hello, this yellow-white core seems a
micrometals material -26 or some chinese "equivalents" usually found
in cheap atx power supplies.

Max operating frequency depends on the losses you can tolerate (temperature rise) an on the AC magnetic flux density swing.

First calculate your AC flux density swing and check on micrometals website a graph called core losses wrt. frequency and flux density for material -26 and check for core losses.

Material -26 has relatively high core losses compared to other iron powder cores and it is normally not suitable for operation above 50kHz more or less.
