I had the speakers on show recently at the NSW Audio Society hi fi show...with a good resposne.
I'm hoping to get a pair at the October Rocky Mnt hi-fi show....then to set up a US dealer/distributor. (If people know someone who's interested, please PM me.)
This has been a huge labor of love....
Testing different drivers at the moment. I'm very impressed with the Visaton 200B...much better bass than the Lowther. Talk about bang-for-buck. Is it better than than the Fostex 206E???

Absolutely stunning! Please tell us more about construction.
Have thought about the 6.5inch...eg Fostex 167E...but have tended to gravitate towards the 8inchers, particularly Lowther. In saying that, the cabinets can be easily modified to suit the smaler driver.
Each cabinet is made from a series of 32mm MDF CNC'd. I use the CNC process to also do the dowel holes and the holes for the acrylic side panels...so everything ligns up 100%.
I use 10mm Oak dowels. 24 x 75mm Hex screws are used to mount the side panels once the internal horn blocks have been assembled.
You can see in the pic below how the layers are built up on the dowels. In this photo, you also see where I routered a small channel to house the speaker cable...just to hide it. Fidly, but it worked.

Not shown in the photo, is how I 'break' the design in two. I had to do this in order to get the spray painting done. For future projects, this break will be integrated into the CAD plan.
The speaker is a DIYer's dream.
My next one will be all ply with a high-gloss spray varnish. I'll use a smokey grey acrylic.
