Hi,
I came across these high end drivers (too good to be true at these prices).
I want to build an active crossover and drive them to get a responss of 60Hz-20Khz. But I do realise that just picking any tweeter and woofer will not give a good performance even if i go for Linkwitz Riley crossover. Can anyone help me design an optimised active crossover for these. I will complement them with a mini sub going down to about 38 Hz(Dayton 6 1/2 woofer). I am going to experiment with granite front baffle. Also what is the kind of output I can expect if i just go for the standard 12db or 24 db Linkwitz Riley with XO at around 3200. Any suggestions on the baffle are also welcome. Also let me know wheteher the metal dome is going to be too harsh.

Thanks in adance.

actives

My last post was too long! got bounced!
The M-130 5.25 incher, http://www.gr-research.com/,
comes from India, Danny, at the above can help you find it. Recommended.
I voted for the much smaller audax, as your shipping costs will be much lower, & it is aknown entity. Also the box assembly details go much easier W/ a small TW; higher SAF. Audax .com has a Joe D'appolito system(DIY), so you can use passive crossovers cribbed from this. Easier, by far, for starters, than actives, and likely to be more accurate. One can experiment with actives, but it takes a LOT of hardware & wires running everywhere!
