I thought this use of a bootstrap cap around the Vas to the diff inputs looked a lot like the SKA (from SAE, 1974).

It is a bit many components
Which caps do you refer to, djk?
I take a guess it is C13, 100uF.
They are bootstrapping.
Is that right?
If you mean C9, C10, they are local compensation caps.
22pF and 47pF.
There was a Topic about this, some month ago.
This is a good alternative to use such comp caps.
Alternative to global compensation cap, in feedback line.
Are you up to try some new design of a power amplifier?
What was your latest build?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
DJK, can you please upload to me the entire schematic you have published.
Also i will have the interest to know the model number and the factory name...yeah..already informed into the transistors.
If you prefer.... and will be better to me because bigger resolution, upload ot my mail box please.
panzertoo@yahoo.com
I want to simulate and to construct this one...i have some plans to compare simple and complex designs with the same supply.
this one is complex enougth.
There are informs missing into the rigth side of your schematic published
regards,
Carlos
