Default SMPS 420v

Ciao,
quante spire dovrei avvolgere su un etd34 per ottenere 420v in uscita partendo dai 12V, ed erogare una corrente di 200mA??

Original translation via google:

Hello, how many coils I would have to wrap on a etd34 in order to obtain 420v in escape leaving from the 12V, and to distribute one current of 200mA?

MHFidelity,

That depends on your chosen frequency and topology. I would look at either Brown's, Chryssis' or Pressman's books on SMPS Design- Chapter on Transformers (or better yet- all three). Any of these will have the plug-n-play euqations for both forward and fly-back types of transformers.

You don't say whether this is a forward or flyback. VERY different design processes, and different numbers.

Cheers,

Steve
