Ho low? ... less than about ~ 1/2 amp ... If you need a heat sink on the voltage reg chip ... you need a different shunt circuit = all resistor values change around the shunt.

Eddy, any place you can point to that would have one of these higher current designs laid out? I am planning to build a LT1085 based regulator with a 2 amp current capability. Would like to consider adding a shunt circuit like this. Thanks.
