Does anyone have a suggestion for functional insulation requirements for off-line PSU's?
Specifically, is there any guidance given in 60950? Unfortunately I don't have a copy. As I understand the safety of functional insulation: It can be short-circuited with no effect on safety. I'm currently using 0.5mm per 100V on external layers. What about internal layers? Can I assume that the epoxy will be void free? I'm currently using 0.2mm on internal layers. Cheers, Ralph |
