I'm going to build ultimate shunt regulator. I used TL431 so far, but I'd like to build something better. I will use low noise voltage reference source, lowpass filter, error amp and reg transistor. So, what do you think about this topology and do you have any suggestions for error opamp and for reg transistor?
Hi,
have a look at Wenzel's site http://www.wenzel.com/index.html
Kaneda did one.
I have a pdf of a discrete version from this forum, no reference unfortunately.
Walt Jung did one in '69.
There are bound to be others if you search.
