Hi Jan,

Thank you for your response.

The rectifier at each transformer and into the reservoir cap looks suitable. Any idea what value of caps would be suitable for such a purpose. Currently I am having 4700 uF at each output. Perhaps add another 4700 uF or more or do I leave it as it is?

Also, I have a 5A fuse at the mains. I should increase this too perhaps. Would this be 10A now?

Thanks again.

Din

Hi,
I recommend a low value power resistor in the feed line from each transformer. 0r1 to 0r22 should be large enough.
This will help to balance currents from each winding. The resistors also reduce the peak currents which is a slight advantage.

We are having a discussion in the Class D section about connecting multiple SMPS in parallel and could probably do with some help.

Discussion in Class D......

We are trying to work out if it is possible to combine a few of these to deliver more current.

Any comments would be appreciated.
