Hi all,
I've got a bunch of BYW56 Diodes (so called sinterglass avalanche types), rated 1000V and 2A, in SOD-57 case. Did somebody make experiences with those, and could say if they are suitable as high quality diodes in High-End audio applications? They are probably Philips built items. They seem to be cheap though... Thanks, - dan

It was about 10 years I tried some avalance diodes BYW95C and BYV27 I liked the sound of them, and use them where I can. They don´t have that high current capabilities to use as rectifiers for big triodes. They are cuite cheap,so I think its worth to use them where I can. ![]()
