Hi,
Has anyone tried to build a low power powersupply using a
mobile phone mains adaptor or similar being fed into voltage regulators?
If so, any potential issues?
The two applications would be for a cdplayer XO (probably a Tent
clock eventually), and powering a TDA1543 dac built inside a cdplayer. They are both low current applications.
Regards,
Ash.

Do you mean using a wall wart? Should work fine, unless it has a DC output and you need a +/- supply. You could generate the negative supply I suppose.ash_dac said:Has anyone tried to build a low power powersupply using a

I am using one with an AC output, using two half-wave rectifiers to give me a +/- supply. Other than having to filter it well, no issues. It's running an LM1875 power amp.
