Hello,
Anyone try to use the same power, same voltage but different type of transformer to power up the same circuit? I trired the followings: Toroid - build from Z9/M4-0.3mm core seem that the sound become clear......but listen to it for longer time, feel that somthing is missing. abit week in bass/mid-bass region. R-core - build from Z9/M4-0.3mm core close to the performance of Toroid but more powerful. EI-core - build from Z11-0.35mm core Feeling much more powerful, strong in bass, good in human voice, good sound stage. Nearly the same result when I try to insert a isolate transformer between the power line and the amplifier. Anyone try to do this test too? hope that someone can share their experiences. Thank's! ![]() |

There seem to be more factors at play than merely the core type. Per example I have experienced widely different sound between identically sized EI types. Still, i agree with some of your observations.
