Schematic for Universal power supply

Is there an updated schematic. I was using this one

and I find it really confusing as I dont understand where AC comes in and where the rectified DC is taken off an sent to the filter. It also shows caps in connections that just wont work. Some caps also appear as Zeners. Maybe I am missing something but I am thoroughly confused.

Hi, have you found your way around that yet? Everything is marked and correct if you look closely, but I admit it is an awful schematic particularly for a beginner, are you building that power supply or do you just want a schematic for a generic one?

That isn't really a schematic, more a kit of sub-circuits from which a schematic could be assembled. I can understand your confusion.

Find a simple PSU circuit, then work out how that PCB can be wired to make the circuit.
