DC power supply for DAC

Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum -

I am awaiting delivery of a Mytek Brooklyn preamp/DAC, and noticed that it will accept a 7-14V DC input instead of the 100-230V AC option.

Would a nice and quiet, stable 12V(for example) DC power supply be a terribly tricky/expensive thing to build?

I noticed a tremendous lift in performance on my old phono stage when I switched to a regulated DC supply, so I feel it would perhaps be worth it.
