I plan to build Hybrid Graetz Bridge power supply using two 5AR4 in a input choke configuration, can I use a 20H choke as the first L, since each tube are rated for max input choke of 10H
I don't know anything about tubes but I do know rectifiers ;-) If your configuration is such that at any one time only one tube is conducting, that tube will thus see the total L.
Where do you find the 10H limit? The datasheet uses 10H as a typical value, and includes 40H on the graph. I'm not sure there is an upper limit, as a bigger choke does no harm.
