Hello all,
I just ran across a smps that implements a half bridge topology with IGBTs, unusually (for me) I found a schottky diode connected from emitter to gate (via Rg resitor) of each transistor.
I seem to fail to understand what is this for, I know zener diodes connected directly from the emitter to gate protects from overvoltages.
Any hints??
