need a variable PSU

Ok I am new to this so take it easy on me I am a greenhorn,I am going to be getting some Chip amps and other boards that require different voltages and curents.is their a diy or even a assembled board I can get that will do from 9-55 volts and up to 6 amps.I found this on the web something like this but a little beefier,Easy variable voltage power supply

oh and can I also intergrate dual and single supply also into a build.

when the amp has a v-g-v config. would these lab grade suppllys work on them,and were would the wires go.
You need a dual output model with a tracking lock button set in series mode. +/- across, middle taps are the "zero" floating mid-point.

I have a 3A 0 to 30V dual lab supply. That is 0W to 90W per output.
I have not seen a 5A 60A lab supply. That would be 0W to 300W per output.

Instead what about a Variac feeding a 500VA mains transformer? Certainly cheaper.

I have a 2.75A Variac feeding a 100VA 12+12Vac transformer. Great for experimenting with.
