I've successfully build up (breadboard) a feedback regulated PSU for my tube poweramp. It puts out 450V and needs to supply a max of 800mA and uses an N-channel mosfet as a series pass device. The mosfet I used was a IRFBC40 I had laying around. I will soon be sending the PCB for manufacturing and wanted to make a final discussion on the mosfet to use.
Off course there's the max drain-source voltage, current capability and max power dissipation, but can anyone give me some pointers on what other factors might be of importance for best performance?? Maybe certain types best suited for the task? Thanks!
