Default ? Re Adcom GFA 555ii

I'm considering replacing the 4 large caps in my Adcom 555ii amp with Nichicon gold tune caps. My ?'s are:

Does the large power supply caps influence sound?

How long do these large caps last?

One of the large original caps is starting to leak and I have already added the bypass caps and replaced all other existing caps with Elna Cerafines.

Thanks

cap life is based on time and temperature. Leaking indicated they are gone . The amount of influence on sound is based upon the circuit and its psrr (power supply rejection ratio). The short answer in this amp yes.

The sound is DIRECTLY PRODUCED by the current from the capacitors, and from any decoupling caps (and occasionally by the current from the rectifiers).
