Gooday all,
I have got big electrolytical capacitors 67000 uf 100v that I want to use in an amp. They are too tall to fit in the chassis that I want to use. It seems that they would normally be mounted vertically, I just wondered if it would be safe by mounting them horizontally to fit in the chassis. Can I expect problems by doing this ?

This was covered once before and folks came up with the strangest of answers, but, yes they can be mounted in any orientation.

Airplanes would be in trouble if they couldn't be.

yes, it should not be a problem
even upside down should be ok

only 'exceptions' would be when used in dangerous environment
like when mounted close to crutial important curcuits, should the pressure relief valve let out acid

btw, I don't think airplanes use this kind of lytics, but I don't know :D
