I have replace a Peachtree Dacit ps with a linear TeraDac (Hong Kong) 9 v. ps followed by a JLH filter. Difficult to measure with my gear, but uv noise and ripple appeared < 100 uv.
Also used a 7805 fed by the clean 9 v. and another JLH following to power usb implementation.
Both changes made a tremendous change in sq with the Dacit.
Am considering applying the JLH filter to the DC in the last stage of amplification in an Emotiva XPA-5. The initial dc to their main pcb's is 150 v dc with 200 mv of ac per noise and ripple. Don't want to tackle the voltage at that point since it is too high. That's why I will find the final stage before output to spk.
Has anyone had any experience with this, and do the minds at DIY Audio think this is a good project, or a dumb one. :0)
