12VDC Step up to 300VDC

I'm designing a stereo tube amp for my '74 MGB.

There will be two channels of the schematic below.

Requirements are:

-12VDC input, 25A max available
-200VDC - 300VDC output, 400mA max required

I'm looking at using two LTC3862 step up controllers in boost mode, but am worried about max duty cycle limitations.

Anyone have any ideas on a good step up converter? Would prefer to stay away from a fly-back converter due to space limitations.

Cheers,

-Brad

Are you going to replace the 19.4uH inductors with 19.4uH primary side transformers to get the 300V without needing to design with 400V FET's?

I used one of these two phase controllers to try for 1.2V @ 40A (only got 25A but that was a diode issue...should have used synchronized rectification signal that was available)

Fly-back is easier (IMO) and the controller you are looking at seems to be able to convert more than your power requirements.

Research well and I would like to see the pictures when you're done.
