Hello
I have just taken delivery of an Anti - Mode 2.0 Dual Core Audio Processor with Room Correction unit and it has been supplied (for the UK) with a 9VAC wall wart as power supply. Does anyone know of any company in the UK that makes better quality replacment power supplies ? Failing that would a high quality 9V battery power supply be an option ? Again if you either know of a simple design or anyone that supplies ready made versions would appreciate the information / links . |

Well if its an AC wall wart, all the rectification/regulation etc is internal. The wallwart then is just a transformer and can be replaced (if you think it sounds better) with another xformer.
Maybe you should just live with it for a while. In low power apps like these, it is unlikely that another xformer would have any audible impact, be it for better or worse. Remember that wall arts genrerally have a very good build-in isolation against mains borne noise, in any case better than a xformer as such. jan
