Default DIY KIT Power supply for Squeezebox duet and Touch

Hi everyone,

i'm looking at a DIY kit power supply for my actual squeezebox Duet and potential next squeezebox Touch.
I'm located in France, and do not find any reseller selling this kit to build.
only fully assembled and expensives PSU are available.
Can you tell me either:
a website selling this kit to build from scratch
a BOM list to buy on Mouser or on Audiophonics or somewhere else for building it from scartch

Thank you very much in advance

I have been using the Salas SSR1.1 to power my Squeezebox Touch and it works and sounds great.

Teabag runs group buys on boards and kits regularly.

Hi hangguy,
i'm discussing with Teabag right now, he wanted me to double check the power needed for the SQB Touch, i tell him that the Touch would need 5V 5A and the Duet would need 9V 3.5A are you in phase with that or not

I setup my Salas Shunt for 5V1A on my Touch and it is running just fine. If you don't connect USB drive to the Touch, I believe the Touch only draws 800mA or so. If you connect a USB drive, it may draw as much as 1.5A.

I don't have a Duet so I cannot comment on the current draw.

Hi,

I also had this squeezebox Touch and going to build a good PSU for him.
However, my understanding is that it don't need such high 5V 5A(@25W). I think normal 5V/2A should be enough to drive this unit.
I will build my own PSU using LT3080 + by pass PNP transistor to expand output current.
