Default Winding SMPS transformer

Hello
i want to winding my SMPS transformer.i have three kind of wire (.20 , .15 , .10) and EI25/19 core.and i going to make forward transformer with Pout=60(15 volt,4Amper)
and my frequency is 50Khz.could you tell me the calculation and how i can do it?

Thanks

This really should be in the power supply thread not analog source so I'll move it.

Edit: Moved...

Is there any particular reason why you chose a forward? A flyback could possibly be easier at that voltage and current. What did you have in mind for controller and switch?

Another comment in passing - the EE2519 is a bit too small for either flyback or forward supply at the output power/ operating frequency you contemplate. Maybe at this point you will want to be a bit more up-front about what you're trying to do and the resources you have available. I would ask the same things of a potential customer that posed a question of this sort.

Hello wrenchone
I asked many people that working on SMPS circuit.they told me that forward is more efficient and has Low EMI.so i decide to work on forward instead of flyback.whats your suggestion? you told me work on flyback?

could you tell me how did you know the EE2519 is not comfortable?
and what is the criteria to chose Core and frequency of SMPS circuit?

Regards

Power supplies that are designed for low EMI (proper input filter, magnetics design, layout) have low EMI. You can get into just as much trouble with a forward as with a flyback. People dirt on flybacks, but you will find flybacks used in the overwhelming majority of designs in the power range you're considering. Efficiency is good with proper design, the design is also simpler and generally more cost-effective - that's why they are preferred.

Is your purpose to buils an SMPS to learn about the design, or is this a job-related thing? The core you mentioned would be suitable for a 10-15W flyback at 100kHz.

Here you'll find some nice formulas: Dimensionierung von Schaltnetzteilen.
The site is easily translated by google etc.
