Yes you can use EE55.
Yes you can use IRFZ44
R1 to R6 are jumpers = 0 ohm resistors...

Default Input voltage compensation for car smps

The voltage of the battery will be fluctuating nearly all the time. If you want to tackle this problem then the only way for this is to regulate the output by some kind of feedback mechanism. The currents at the input for a car smps would be too big to handle economically.
