Dual Polarity PSU Question

I have purchased a -12vDC/ +12vDC PSU what I dont understand is why it has 3 "Com" connection points. The Linkwitz ASP I am going to power with it only has 1 Com connection & the -12v +12v connections.

It is just because often you have several wires to take back to the common point, saves you trying to get them all in one terminal. If you only have a couple of wires just use the middle one.

Perhaps they use the same terminal block for several different PSUs with different outputs.

Thanks for posting this info. I was looking for such PS previously. Anyway, I had already purchased and DIYed the usual toroidal trans and bridge rectifier type to power my phono preamp.

Wondering which is better; this one or the one with toroidal trans? Thanks.

I would say neither is better, both have advantages and disadvantages. Don'y worry about it and just use what you already got

Unlikely as that would defeat the point of a COMmon terminal.

I believe the one shown should be a SMPS.
