216 watt toroidal txr
I have a 216 watt toroidal txr from a donor unit and would like to use it for my first amplifier build. What could I expect from it in terms of watts/channel?

A lot will depend on the output voltages, but as a general rule of thumb, I like to see a transformer with a VA rating equal to twice the total expected output power. So for 216 VA, you should be able to get 108 watts output, or 54 watts per channel for a stereo amp.

The output voltage and current capability will determine how close you can come to that in the real world.
