I need some female jacks to use with a 12VAC (no load rating of 13.5VAC) 2amp (but device is 1.5amp) wall wart power supply. Thing is, all I see is the DC rating for these, as most wall warts are DC. Is it safe to use a DC rated jack of 13.5VDC/2A with this adapter?
Based on this: http://www.electronics-tutorials.com...apacitance.htm, can one deduce that I would need a DC rating of at least twice my working voltage of 12VAC in DC, or at least a jack rated at 24VDC? Last edited by DreadPirate; 11th April 2012 at 07:53 PM. |

I see some errors in your process, but the answer you seek is
Yes, you can use that (2.1mm) adapter-jack combo.
