I have a pair of identical EL transformers rated according to the makers label as:
Input: 440VAC 66VDC + 66VDC 265 Amp My question is that assuming I can get 33VDC with 220 VAC, what will be the effective amperage with such a setup? Many thanks. |

It will be about the same, as with a reduced primary voltage the main limit on current is heating which will be unchanged. So 265 amps.

Do we have a typo here?
That's 116000 VA (Watts) But the Amps will stay the same, but the available power will drop to one half.
