supply for volume control
I bought a volume control kit from ebay. When looking at the specs one should use a 9-2 V~, 3A power supply. But is 3A not a bit overrated? Should 1200 mA be enough?

1200mA will probably be OK.
It only passes high current when the pot is adjusting and when relay/s are pulled in. BTW the pot spends a high proportion of time adjusting. |
Hi,
http://www.alps.com/WebObjects/catal...6/RMP_RK16.PDF According to the above I'd take the blurb on ebay as a misprint and assume it is 0.3A / 300mA. rgds, sreten. |
Thanks. I Also contacted the seller. According to him 1200 mA will do just fine.
