Default SMPS or linear power supply in amp?

Hello ,

Does the amplifier head contain an SMPS or a mains-transformer-based power supply?

ID:60TVP-H Guitar Amplifier - Blackstar Amplification

......its 60 Watts and yet the overall enclosure looks fairly big, so i would hazard a guess that this contains a mains transformer based power supply, but do you know?

how are we supposed to know these things? it could just as easily be big to give the illusion of being more substantial than it is, this company gives almost no actual technical information about their products; the info is written by the marketing department and the design is as it is, so as to match what is expected of the type of amp it is pretending to be

Default SMPS!!!

I strongly suggest to use a good quality SMPS, switching well above audio frequencies, mine operating at 50KHz is the most.
